Yeah those look like a good set of guidlines to me, a happy medium where a good idea of what's tolerated is easy to understand, but flexible enough to allow for action without getting caught up in the technicalities.

As for adding new promotion threads to a sticky events thread, and then deleting the original post, I still don't understand where general discussion of the event is going to take place. In the sticky thread? Cause if this is the case, I can only imagine that such a thread will become hoplessly congested.

2. only approved/recognised posters are able to post

Its a good idea for a quick reference, however I don't think it will solve anything.

the events that are featured in the sticky don't generate discussion - i.e. if you aren't a regular poster on au.ta but still want to promote your event.

for the people that do contribute to the au.ta forum as a whole, they've earned the right to post a separate thread for their events - for both details, discussion and general spam.
