Out of Japan you have Ayumi Hamasaki and Yoji Biomehanika (lots of others that I can't think of off the top of my head right now -- but there really are a lot)

I'll simply say that electronic music is most definitely not restricted to the west, and is far from a "western sound"

Ayumi Hamasaki is a pop singer. Not an EDM producer. or did you get fooled by all the Ayu Trance Cds?
