From the review I gave so far, yeah it would seem that way(about being hung up on the ending). If you didn't get the ending on your own, fine, I'm glad it gave you the kind of suspense that you want to get out of a flick like this . The movie actually grossed you out? Hmmm, I don't know about that. Maybe there are alot of gore rookies here, but today's horror movies don't have the kind of effect like those old Hellraiser movies for example, those were just unreal. I don't even think it's the gore that the directors are really looking for, instead they want more mental intensity since the ways of torture are unthinkable in both movies.

There are a couple of issues with saw 2 I still have:
1. Not enough poetic justice traps as I'd have liked.
The drug dealer had his hypo hole, and the wrist slasher had the glass box, and that's it, the iron maiden face trap from the beginning doesn't qualify, and I'm not sure the furnace trap does either.
2. The hooker and the glass box room scenario? The people have spent over an hour in a regular sized house, they were tearing up the walls and furniture looking for clues for chrissake, and noone checked to see if that particular door was open or not? How does that work?

Actually Hostel was directed by Eli Roth, the guy that did Cabin Fever. It looks like Tarantino only helped out with the distribution, like he did with Hero.
