I'd recommend the skin care products from Sephora. I get all of my stuff from either there or Kiehls. If you've got a location near you, go in and ask some questions. The attendants are fairly knowledgeable and they also give out free samples before you go and drop $15-20 per item.

To reduce drying your face out from shaving, use a pre-shave oil before you apply shave gel, then use a moisturizer afterwards. For me, it's Anthony Pre-shave oil, Zirh Shave Gel, and either Zirh Protect or Kiehl's Facial Fuel (this has a minty feel that's really noticeable in the winter).

I'd also recommend a facial cleanser. I have two that I've tried out, Anthony Algae Facial Cleanser and Kiehl's Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser (both of these were gifts and I think I prefer the Anthony one).
