Ok whoever mentioned Central Park needs to go back to other page and read. Or, could it be, on this page? lol you need a secluded area like FBF, or randal's. Also, if we build up our city as a club city again, they it was in the mid 90's or so. it would drive more tourists back to NYC thus fulfulling Mr.Bloombers plans for full revitalization of NYC.

You had to get tickets in advance, and that's when you were given the option of donating to an AOL schools charity. There was a 2 hour line to get in, because there was only one entrance on each side of the park and they were checking tickets. When you got in, I couldn't even really see where the stage was (but they did have like 8 huge screens running back the Great Lawn. If any EDM event is run like that, I'd rather not go anyhow. Imagine how bad the lines would be since they'd be checking everyone for drugs, which they didn't do at DMB (and god, there was SOOOO much pot being smoked there, there was literally a haze over the Lawn).

Oh, and apparently the Lawn got destroyed, too, and cost a lot to fix.

I was there also and got in in about 2 seconds, there where 2 entrances on each side, you just had to walk up a few more blocks to get to it. And yes it was poorly run cause it was run by the Parks Department and the City not by Promotors, like an event of this size would be.

Yeah, that was me. Have you guys heard of Inwood Park or Fort Tryon Park. It's in uptown Manhattan and kind of secluded. Especially Fort Tryon, that is such a beautiful park. Inwood's kind of dirty, but very big and borders the Hudson if I remember correctly. That could make for an excellent light show near the river.

Another huge park is Riverbank State Park on 145th street in the Harlem/City College area (also in Manhattan). That is way bigger than Fort Tryon and Inwood. Although not secluded, you can go deep enough into the park that the rest of the outside neighbors can't hear anything.

Those aren't as big, are they? Also, i think doing something in Manhattan itself would cost more. I don't know if Mikey Bloomberg included anything about concerts in that deal that he gave to film makers and such to bring them back to the city.

I've contacted a friend I have who works for the city and he says with the right planning, most parks and FBF is easily doable.

Some hint is better than no idea anytime.

But just how would someone put this kind of thing together? There's gotta be some wanna-be promoters here in this thread that can answer the call.
