Everytime I look at the cover of that game, I can't stop laughing. Is that supposed to be the "tough" look?

The sad thing is - due to the rampant obsession so many white chicks have for 'thugs', this may become the best selling vibrator of all time.

So John, since we seem to share the same attitude about gaming nowadays (graphics first, gameplay second...as seen with the lackluster Xbox 360) I have to ask you this: what are your thoughts on the Nintendo Revolution, which de-emphasizes graphics?

Nintendo is Nintendo ... I stopped playing it after N64. It's a great system b/c they cater to kids. If you don't have a foundation, the future won't like bright ... this applies to everything. If Nintendo stopped and packed up, once we retire from video games ... there won't be a next generation of gamers to replce us.

I stopped playing video games after the PS2 came out ... barely anything intrests me anymore. But, I heard RE 4 is fucking good. I might give it a try.

Im curious to see how the new nintendo does.... i mean after gamecube flopped i was sure that they were out of the console race and were going to stick with handhelds and video games... which would have been cool... zelda on xbox would be great... but the new ways of interacting with the one-hand controller... and the usage of revamped light-gun technology... the new nintendo console could be a lot of fun....

and i was glad to see that nintendo is being realistic about its product... where microsoft and sony are sitting and saying that this console is going to run at infinity mega-megahertz and able to do x amount of computations a second... nintendo is waiting saying that we're not going to be basing our numbers on peak performance... they're saying outright they have an inferior product by the numbers... if thats the case there has to be something to this system that makes it a viable business endeavour... or its just wishful thinking...

I'll be completely honest with you: when playing Resident Evil 4, I felt like a kid again

I rarely play games nowadays...but RE4 really blew me away. Give it a shot sometime. You won't regret it.

How did the Gamecube flop?

And one-hand controller doesn't use light-gun technology. It's all Gyroscope/motion sensoring.

lol

Couple decides to go shop for a vibrator at the local sex shop.
Boyfriend: "See anything you like?"
Girlfriend: "Ooooh! Ooooh! I want the G-Unit one!!"
Boyfriend (sweating and tugging on collar): "Uh.. heh.. um ok"
Girlfriend: "Yay!"
Girlfriend: "But they said we are going to need at least a cube truck to get it home"

That is was Valve was going for.

Otherwise it was a simple FPS. They really wanted to be able to market the game engine, as the new gen, and I believe it is. Usually in games, you can only interact with objects that he developers have actually thought about. Here you can pick up, and use ANYTHING! Very cool.

Gravity Gun + Saw Blade = FUN!

The physics engine in Half-Life 2 is based on the Havoc engine, which Valve didn't develop. Valve was responsible for incorporating it, and premiering the engine with Source, which HL2 is based on. The Source engine though, is an innovation in the sense that it's able to take full advantage of 3 different generations of video cards, and utilize each of their features.

Gameplay-wise, Half-Life 2 didn't innovate in any sort of way, not like Half-Life 1 did...with ingenious pacing, atmosphere, and very clean, smooth gameplay (eg. platform jumping, etc).

There are some games out there left that take you to the next level ... such as Metal Gear - 1,2,3, Castlevania, Final Fanstay, GT, Resident Evil, Megaman and especial the new ver. of Contra.

First problem that ruined the video game industry was high powered consoles, too much nice graphics and lack of gameplay. Now, moronic unskillful games like GTA and etc ... they would must like keep making selling these type of games, due to this new generation of gamers.

I second that! Essentially, this almost perfectly sums up the way I've felt about video games since about the 2nd or 3rd year after the original PlayStation came out. I pointed out to a lot of people, "This is more like watching a movie than playing a game". It's no fun. Sure there were a couple of good games, but back during the NES and Super NES days, there were TONS of good games, all so unbelievably f-in' entertaining that I'd still play them after finishing them 40 times.

There used to be a concept called "replay value" - i.e. how tempted would you be to play it again after you've already gotten to the end - and most new games not only have no replay value, they have no gameplay value at all! I think I've turned my PS2 on maybe a grand total of 20 times... what a waste of money.

The new generation of gamers are the same people who cream themselves over the next useless iPod accessory - as long as it looks cool, it's money well-spent.

FUN AS HELL!

Although I hav enot play this new game, I will stand up for ultra violent games.

How many times have you heard about some kid doing something in real life that they did in a game.....this happens way to often....although I enjoy games like GTA and there are times that all I want to do is get as many weapons as possible and see how long I can survive before the cops get me.....I think the real problem is parents allowing their kids to play these games.....these games should be sold to people under 18....heck even 21.....and parents should be educated on what game they are buying before they go ahead and buy it for their kid.
