I used to listen to net radio back when I was 13 and first started listening to this music. I then started downloading MP3s and then I stopped once the RIAA started going after individual file sharers (i had approximately 2,000 MP3s at one time). After that I bought CD after CD and built up a huge collection of mixed CDs and artist CDs as well. Then I got turntables when I was 18 and collected vinyl for two years. I have approx 150 records. After I stopped collecting vinyl because I couldn't afford it and couldn't find all the releases. I would have to wait weeks, months for one record to be released or restocked, since I could only find them online and didn't want to pay import prices, only bought from american stores, which were expensive enough as it (most are 9.99 plus 5 for shipping). So I figured I could get the same tunes for much less, maybe not the exact same quality of vinyl sound or feel, but I started buying MP3s after not downloading any for three years and now I haven't looked back since. Real easy and now I have something like 300 downloaded MP3s since last summer when I bought my CDJs. So simple to download, inexpensive and decent sound (320 Kbps). Wav files would be nice but there hard to find to download, take up a lot of space on your hard drive and are pretty expensive too...esp at BeatPort.
