BT represented the early years for me. I still go back and listen to Ima very often, because I loved that unrefined piano sound he put out.
Over the years he changed and grew into a direction which I did not like. But much respect to him for his old school productions. I will always cherish them.
I hope he goes back a bit and tries to put out another pure electronic album. I honestly did not like his last album with other genres in it. It was his choice, and as a creative artist, I am sure he had to do it for his own sanity. Forcing such a creative person to limit them selves to one style is just murder.
I had the pleasure of seeing him, and shaking his hand at Ultra Spin 1 in the KH, when he opened for Holden and Ferry. Incredible night. The energy he had was awesome! It was one of his laptop symphonies. |
for sure, hey man I'm totally with you on Ima and all, every once in awhile I would hint to him back to Quark and TTLF, that stuff got me into electronica all together so I want to see him progress with it more than anything. But he got me excited when he mentioned his next album would be directed to the dance scene and I thought we'd get something back from those days and I still think we'll see interest in that 5th album or at least I hope!
