I don't find mixing beats in psytrance any more difficult than progressive trance. However, I think finding records that mix well together is more difficult. When I first started mixing psy I had the same problem. When I would kill the base something didn't sound right. The other problem I had was trying to mix crazy synths. Pay close attention to harmonics.
