Recording...
I posted info on how to record this onto ONE DAT over a month ago in this forum. It involved going to http://www.tape.com/ and getting the 150 metre DDS tapes (these work fine for Audio DAT recorders) and recording at 32 khz Sampling Rate in LP mode if you have a SONY unit (this won't work with any other brand as other's don't support the Long Play mode @ 32 khz). One Metre of tape is 2 minutes, and 32 khz, LP recording mode is double the time so, 150 metres times 2 = 300 minutes when recording standard, times 2 for LP, 32 khz mode. This will get you 10 hours recording time, enough for the whole 9 hour set. Here's the breakdown: buy 1 150 metre- DAT. 150 metres = 300 Standard Minutes. 300 Standard minutes = 600 SONY LP @ 32 khz minutes. THAT'S the way to go! Good luck! Since FM radio's frequency limit is 15.5 khz, 32 khz sampling rate's just fine (highest freq. response @ 32 khz sampling rate is 16 khz, which will cover the entire FM band). If noone's broadcasting the whole set, then someone will just have to go there and record it directly. I wish I were there! I would've already had my tickets as soon as I heard of it!!! See you later, everyone!!!
