Its all country and top40 here. Every once in a while you get a really crappy remix of a top40 song. But what people consider dance music really "high energy dancing stuff" are those remixes rappers do of other songs where they rap on top of the others rappers song and call it a remix. It is a huge fad for everyone to tease me by putting all the music I like in the background of everything (commercials a lot), now people think I'm just another preppy abercrombie kid that is trying to hard to get in with the in crowd because of the music I listen to. But I never hear it anywhere unless I play it, and when I play it nobody wants to hear it. It is really sad. I don't think any big DJ's could even point out where I live on a map. In Charlotte, which is about 2.5 hours away from me I hear that the scene is a bit better. But that same episode of dateline that yall were talking about earlier has kept my parents from letting me go. I don't think anything will ever happen in my area unless me or one of the few ppl in NC who like this music starts it. It seems like everyone around me is completely oblivios to the music that gets played in the background of every commercial they see, and every MTV special ever aired. And when they hear me play it nobody bothers to figure out what it is, they usually jsut use "turn that crap off" instead. I think the only time I was thought of as being cool in my entire life was when I played sandstorm in my car the night after the pop dj played it on her "club mix" which was, like I said earlier, rap remixes. Other then that, I've always been the weird kid that talks too fast, dresses funny, and listens to really crapy music. Ironically, the only place I hear music that is halfway close to being decent is in the abercrombie store, becasue its a fad to piss Zombie0915 off by plying his music in the backround of places like that.

The scene here in Estonia is pretty good too i think, but it mostly house and d`n`b here. All the best d`n`b and house dj`s been here,ok, then goes techno, and just then trance scene, however popularity of trance growing up now..thats good for me

if you ever go to St Louis go to the Landing I heard it is excellent but you have to be 21 to get in. also if you ever go to St Louis DON'T go to Liqiud. I have been there and it was SHITE!! also in St Louis snd all over the great state of Missouri they do not sell alcohol at stores past around 1AM in da mornin'. so if youre doing ant drinking make sure you buy your shit before, or you'll end up like me having to make a taxi trip to Illinois just to get some brew.

I'm soooooooo happy I live in Holland, allthough I live south-west and we have nothing here.

But if I go north, within an hour I can be in the Hague, and in an hour and a half, I'm in Amsterdam.
When I go east, I go to Eindhoven and Tilburg, there are no really big scene's he (allthough Eindhoven has Massive) but there are some good clubs which attract good DJ's (and we have enough of them :cool
When I go south, I'm in Belgium in 5 minutes and in an hour or so, I'm in Antwerp, where also are some good clubs.

So, I'm one hell of a lucky guy

I'm feeling rather stupid now

I can't belive I have been completely oblivious to the scene around me for so long. Why the hell doesn't anybody tell me these things!? Everyones hides this from me because they think I'm some sorta coporation trying to buy it or something I guess. I posted a huge rant about the whole idea of hiding suff from me earlier, so I wont go down that road again. (or maybe it was at RMF, anywhoo, it doesn't matter) I did a bit of web browsing recently and found a site(very similar to TA) that is based in my area. It turs out that the biggest Rave promoter in North Carolina used to live in Greensboro(but he recently died), which is within 30 minutes driving distance of where I am. From the reading I've done It seems that DnB is pretty popular among the party-goers here. There are a few trance lovers too. But it seems most everyone has a taste for pretty much anything. There is a lot of unknown talent in my area and it seems from looking at event calendars, that there is a rave around me about once a week. As soon as I can figure out how to get away from my parents I'm going to try and lose my live DJ virginity, heh. There is a really good record store the next town over that I've never been to, and from looking at a few web pages, that place seems like where you go when you want to find a flyer for a party(the dead rave promoter owned the place) I don't think that my scene would compare to Toronto or NY or UK anything, but it still looks like a lot of fun, although I have not tapped into it very much. So what if big names don't make it out here very much. I think a lot of people who think they live in BumFuk actually have a decent scene that they haven't found yet. Or maybe I'm just dumber than everyone. Anywho, if any of the other NC TA's around here want to exchange the sites I found(I've PM'ed a few of yall beofore) then just leave me another PM. I'm feeling very stupid right now.

There is no scene here. A few clubs play the old Darude track or some other club techno but there no clubs like Slinky or Gatecrasher. The market is to small here but if I got big I wouldn't mind starting up the first club

there's no trance scene here...
really. i think there's no scene in 1000 miles around.
some club Buenos Aires, but nothing in the rest of the country.
for the 99% of the people here, if you listen to trance you're IDIOT.
WORST!! if you listen to dance (i say something commercial like the Vengaboys) you are stupid.
i feel like an ant.
the best "party" music here is the "CUMBIA VILLERA". All you know what's that?
Is horrrrrriiiiiibblllllleeee!!!!!!!
so, i hide myself in home and i listen trance alone.
