i had a great time!! the countdown wasn't as cool as it was when i went to TAO a couple of years ago (when they did the zoom-in on LA from space as they counted down), but i still had a great time.. unfortunately i was SO squished in the front/center around midnight that i got really clostorphobic/hot and felt like i was going to puke for a minute so i had to run out of the center of the crowd to get some air. judge jules put on a great show! i left at around 3:30 to avoid the crowd leaving.

HOLY HELL!! What an unbelievable night, it's etched in my mind forever!!

Flew into Cali round 3pm, got my rental and drove to the hotel, met up with some peeps, chilled till about 7pm then drove on down to the arena.

As always the GA line was long as hell, but seemed to move faster then the VIP line...friends got in faster than I...WTF?? Then it was a fucking hassle trying to find where to get wristbands to drink...you think with the amount of parties there....they'd have this shit down. That's really my only complaint.

Spent all my time in the main room, met up with some friends there, then off for the free drinks...ahhh never really saw them again till after the show. But they could have been right next to me...woulda never known...

NU-NRG was a great intro to PVD, who tore the roof off of the place...nice set indeed! After 4 hours of dancing, had to take a break, more drinks....J. Jules' set was ok, a bit boring at first...but he finally layed down some sick tracks. Then M. Schulz took the stage, honestly I thought he might play something with a bit more energy....started to get sleepy with the monotonous beats, sos I left.

Yeah, I thought I saw this TA chick infatuated with the M. Schulz, to loud for any other words tho.

Met up with the friends at the hotel, well in true fashion when in LA..it was only 4am...sos 4 of us headed out to The After Massive NYE by Addicted Events @ The Alexandria Hotel. The main room was fucking unbelievable, couldn't really break myself away to check out the other stage. Left about 8am. Thanks to Thee-O for being there! Missed him at the party Dec 17 in Phoenix.

Was it just me, or did Reza or whoever that guy doing the countdown was, kept saying "New Years Eve" instead of "New Years". I swear I heard him say on numerous occasions.. "Only 15 minutes till New Years Eve!"... "5 Minutes till New Years Eve!". Thought that was pretty funny.

My guess is as good as yours. I thought I heard, "06" instead of eve. But who knows.

I couldn't stand pvd's set. not really into the super hard german trance/industrial. Nu nrg played a great set though and I really enjoyed it.

JJ Played Randy katana - Play it louder. Awsome track. I've heard some folks say Schulz's set wasnt Energetic enough?? It was 3 in the morning!!?! I thought it was TOO intense. Much more than how he ususally spins. Good none the less.. I just couldnt keep up. Maybe I just cant party as hard as everyone else. hahaha

I had a couple of pictures that turned out okay, but the rest of them were BAD. Woody if you could perhaps send me some of the bigger versions of your pics, so I could make some nice prints I would appreciate it very much.

Here are mine, the only two that turned out okay. Looks kinda cool with all the smoke coming in behind PvD.

i must hand it to PVD, though... as much as i'm not really into this guy. when he played "MURDER WAS THE BASS," all i could say was "HHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHITT!!!! WHO IS THIS GUY?!?!?!"

jules ripped it up and markus did suh-well!! mmm, fun fun time. soooo fun. mmm, 2006....
