Belinda will obviously be re-elected with much bigger majority since the lst time. The Conservative party don't care what happens in Aurora-Newmarket. If they did, they would have had a better candidate to go up against Belinda.

right and the liberals care....

all they care about is power.

and i think lois is the better candidate. The fact that shes not a career politician makes me want to vote for her even more.

bahaha...he's my friend's uncle...he's got quite the mouth (and middle finger) on him, doesn't he? lol :P

Harper had the gall to predict a *majority* win shortly before the last election and ended up losing...I'd be quite wary of making *any* predictions this time around too, either for the CPC or the Liberals.

it's wide open.

Here's hoping for a Liberal minority that forces then to work more closely with the NDP. I will be nauseous if Harper is elected PM...

I can guarantee that he's lost a lot of military votes because of his mouth. He's turned quite a few away who really wanted to vote Conservative.

uh huh... and the ever so politically expierenced belinda is going to do what exactly for our area?

I dont think voting for the party is worthless at all, federal mps dont do shit for their riding, so i dont really see a point in voting for them based on that, voting for the party will affect you on everthing, health, tax, education etc etc. By voting for the candadate and not the party "cause they all suck", you're risking having the candadate do nothing for you, while their party's policies will directly affect you and the rest of the country. If you want something done in your area, go talk to the town council. I wont vote for belinda because shes a liberal and i dont like their platform at all, regardless of her own political agenda and backstabbing that shes done... that must be what u mean by "for the people" right? I think belinda has a serious chance of losing.

School doesn't define how smart you are for the job, its 1 piece of the puzzle...lol belindas educated but shes still a bafoon when it comes to policits, its hilarious listening to her talk.

if harper wins, say goodbye to public health care, gay rights, say hello to military spending and missile defence.. kiss the environment good-bye since he's anti-kyoto.. WELCOME TO AMERICA.

my prediction: Nothing Changes.

anyone else notice, that liberals are the only ones not running Attack ADs.. all i ever see is PC commercials attacking the liberals.. That will burn them in the end.. cause honetly i'm quite sick of seeing that crap, and i'm quite sure thousands of other people are as well..

and no matter what government takes office, there will be a scandal of some sort, there always is. Absolute powers corrupts absolutely. Either way Canada is fux0red.

wow was this ever an uneducated post....public heath care isn't going anywhere.... harper is going to hold an open vote on gay marriage which is what martin should have done in the first place, but he wanted to be known as the PM who legalized it so he forced everyone in his party to vote the same. Our military needs a BIG time upgrade, under any leader, this is a general consensus and pretty obvious considering we can't even transport 1/2 our troops anywhere, we need help from the us... and anti kyoto doesn't mean anti environment, do you actually know what haper's plans are for the environment?

Liberals not running attack ads, thats all they did last election, and of course its being done this election lol, thats their style, portray harper as evil and with a "hidden agenda." Its going to burn the LIBERALS in the end because harper is sticking to his campaign plan and its working, they've taken the lead in the polls now... i suggest u pay a little more attention to whats going on before spewing your anti conservatism bs.

I didn't want to say it, because people will call me a fear monger...but I honestly believe that the CPC will exhibit a more "radical" Christian consevative image and approach if they are elected...although the consequences of such would be tempered by a minority victory as opposed to a majority win.

go ahead, call me a fear monger

I don't have much of a problem with the CPC fiscal policy...I just don't think we've seen the true colours of their social policies yet...and I strongly dislike what I've seen from Harper in terms of personality and leadership ability. That's enough for me to stick with the corrupt Liberals or switch to the NDP instead of voting CPC.

^Just what the heck is "radical" Christian consevative image anyways?

Yet another one of those terms that doesn't have a specific meaning that some people like to use as fear mongering.
