On second thought it might not have been Oktoberfest. All I know it was a big outdoor festival with a ton of cheap beer. And it was in August of 2004.

probably Summerfest... was it downtown at the lakefront?
edit // maybe not though. Summerfest is in July and beer isn't so cheap, usually ~$4/cup... but if it was a festival with beer you were definitely in Milwaukee, lol.
Yeah, it was downtown by the lakefront. My roommate and I were driving through Chicago to get some lunch around noon. So we stopped in this mexican joint that had midwest promo magazines. Like that crap that Wisconsin Dells floods Chicago with every summer. He noticed there was some sort of beer fest going on Milwaukee - 20 minutes later we're tearing north on I-94. One of the more spontaneous decisions we ever made and we had a fantastic time.

Glaude threw down on a thursday here in AZ. Now if I was back in MadTown I would have to drive the 60 minutes over to MKE to see glaude while drinking a Pabst.
