I liked trance for maybe 6 months, then saw Jonathan Lisle one night and since then have gone through the whole progressive bit, and now enjoy minimal progressive (psy) trance... there's just nothing better than tripped out stuff...mmmm

So according to you, nobody is making good music anymore? lol

You have to dig a little deeper than that...

it's known as ignorance. There has always been people who believe that trance & stuff is only for kiddies & you always end up in house music as it's the 'best' and stuff. Sure some people do, but a lot don't. Fact is, while trance may not be going through the best of times, those who see it as being only a kiddy music are assholes. People will go through whatever musical progression they want & those who follow shit are just sheep & losers.

read closely, it's only one line.

"besides the rare, rare good track that gets released every now and then... "

meaning there are still tracks made worth merit. just not very many.

additionally if you'll glance at my sig you'll notice it features new as well as old.. however the proprotions are misleading, as i listen to old trance most of the time.

in 2001 when I was 20 I started to interest in prog trance & house.
Now I'm 24 y/o & listen to both of them, but now because of the shity electro I listen more to uplifting trance.Todat it's hard to find good prog. music.

now i didnt belive i could ever listen to that really but i was wondering if that is true or hes just playing with my head..

over to you....

Do NOT underestimate that statement, Mister!

I was into trance as I was 16-17-18, then moved over to psytrance as I was 18-19-20 and NOW I kinda get more and more into the groovy shit (not completely housy stuff yet, but stuff like D-Nox & Beckers and that is quite a big a step into this "house" direction when you consider me coming from the psytrance corner, innit?).

With 25 I could be liking house. Absolutely possible!

I like most EDM genres; house, trance, psytrance mainly. Never listen to techno much, maybe ill get into it someday...

Exactly.

Trance was my first EDM love. I'm 24 now. and I'm probably more into house than trance. There are very few trance productions nowadays that really capture my interest. House, on the other hand, tends to be pretty good.

HOWEVER, those few trance tracks....i love way more than any of the house tracks.

So I have no idea.

I agree with his statement also...i cant stand trance now at 30. I am now into Deep Dark House, Tribal House and a little Prog House and sometimes Disco House...oh and Latin House.

I think i eventually got tired of the 2 15 minute breakdowns in every track...makes it annoying when u are dancing...that and it is so predictable, trance that is.
