Re: Blockbuster / VISA fvcked me.. how do i get em back?

Yea, so several months ago, i bought a PS2 from Blockbuster. Prior to buying it, i asked the sales rep about their returns policy. The guy said that i could get my money back within 30 days for both the PS2 and the game i bought, even if they were opened. Now, the PS2 ended up being defective and the game i bought i didn't like anyway, so i came back there within 30 days and returned the damn thing. Now, months later, i realized that they never actually credited my Visa. I went back there and the manager said that i'm not getting my money back because the sales rep made a mistake. So they've just kept my PS2 there for like months and never even called me to tell me there was a problem. I called Visa and they said that i could have disputed the charge earlier, but because so much time has passed (over 90 days), there is nothing i can do. But you know what? I don't feel like getting fucked. I wanna get em back. But how? I was thinking of going to that same store and buying an Xbox 360, then calling Visa to block the charge and refusing to settle until i get the money back for my PS2. Would that work? Any other ideas? |
slit your wrists and write a note saying it was visas and blockbusters fault...it might not work but at least the state of the human gene pool on this earth will improve.

I don't think it'd be fair to make me go through all this extra trouble for nothing. I deserve a little compensation. An the $100 difference they pay for those two consoles is a small price to pay to keep a customer.

I don't know about BB but if you want to fuck with a credit card company here's what I would do....
pay your entire balance except $0.01, stop using the card. They will send you a bill for $0.01 plus interest.... when the interest reaches $0.01 then pay the interest leaving a balance of $0.01. Keep doing this. They will send you a bill each month looking for their $0.01. Each time they send you a bill it will cost them $0.50 for postage and whatever their processing costs are plus paper and ink. I did this with Citibank..... 4 years later I got a call asking why I wouldn't pay the balance.... explained it to them. They took care of me. |
LMAO! Funny, but way too much effort for like... nothing.

It's BLOCKBUSTER my friend, not the corner fucking store.
Big companies would much rather tell you to go fuck yourself and never have to deal with you again while at the same time keeping their money! Blockbuster isn't going anywhere! |
It's actually the other way around. Corner store owners don't know business, and would trade a customer for a penny. Big companies, those who deal directly with consumers, know better. Because they do business on such a large scale, even a small change in their customer service policies can mean a loss or gain of millions of dollars worth of business. So like i said, they know better. We'll see what happens.
