I wasn't presuming to speak for any particular individual, however, you must admit that is the overwhelming sentiment in the US currently. Be careful, if you get any more apathetic you'll turn Canadian

That's like saying French women have mustaches. Or Italian-Americans are involved in the Mafia. Or Irish people live in bars. Or Candians are apathetic as you say.

Assumption will get the best of you.

Tell you what, when the citizens of the US finally take some action to stop the errosion of their rights and freedoms then I'll accept that they haven't fallen into the depths of apathy, however, as it presently stands one must conclude that (by and large) they have... at least on this issue. Either that or they have decided that their personal liberty should take a back seat to their collective security.... if that is the case I fear the citizens of the US will soon find themselves with neither liberty or security.

Tell you what stop equating Americans on a whole as do nothings. You fail to grasp what it is I just told you so lemme 'splain it for ju one more time:

Not all Americans are sitting idly by.
Not all Americans want this current war.
Not all Americans want their rights and liberties taken from them.
Just to throw a few ideas on the table.

If you stop watching ABCNNBCBS all day then maybe you can see for yourself that you speak for no one in the US.

I might as well think Canadians are uneducated with the way you're trying to imply things about Americans.

Your uneducated assessment of Americans is very very shortsighted and uninformative.

There would be a public revolt in the US if abortions were banned again.

I believe you are the one viewing things too simplistically. I acknowledge not all US citizens are sitting idle, however, too few have been moved to do anything about it. What I have stated is undeniable, there are not enough Americans who care enough about what is happening to reverse the current trend, if there were then there would be demonstrable results already. If you deny that they you clearly don't recognize what is happening in your own country.

Equating apples to oranges:

Before:
quote:
wasn't presuming to speak for any particular individual, however, you must admit that is the overwhelming sentiment in the US currently

After:
quote:
there are not enough Americans who care enough about what is happening to reverse the current trend, if there were then there would be demonstrable results already

If a tree falls in a forest does it make a sound?
Just because you seem to believe that Americans are not trying to stop this war, nor stop the liars, doesn't mean nothing is being done. So stop assuming no one is doing anything. If I were to think that way then yeah you're right Canadians aren't doing squat, ay.

PICS LIKE THIS DON'T MAKE THE FRONT PAGE....THEY'RE BAD FOR BUSINESS.

If the Republicans do it, they commit political suicide.

Did you happen to look at the percentages of people who voted for each candidate in the last presidential election? Bush got 51% of the vote. Let's just say it sucks for the other 49%. It sucks that the the population's growing significantly more in the areas that voted for him than in the areas where people voted against him. I guess the liberals should start reproducing like rats so that we can get represented rather than advocating population growth control.

I mean, just look at the results - http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/, then look at the birth rates - http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763849.html. It's an unsettling comparison and it's only going to get worse.

Saying that 49 percent that voted for Kerry are liberal or pro-abortion or anti-war or whatever is ludacris because that election was picking between 2 lethal poisons. I based my decision on choosing a retard i know over a retard i don't.

Americans ARE acting apthetic because alot of us leave the work up a bunch of morons who protest in union square while stoned or on something else without making a clear case. While protest warriors organize and conduct flawless and intelligent rallies. We must unite under one banner to drive this tyrant out.
