Not a bad effort, I'm afraid I did find the oboe lead very cheesy but I think you pull it off quite well, as well as can be expected anyway!
I think everyone else has covered just about all I was going to say - yeah the top end perc seems to have slightly too much there or just has an uneven groove to it which makes it sound a bit too racey. Production-wise the rest of the track is quite good, levels all sound right etc
The triplet bit in the bassline I think's an excellent idea and sounds really good at the start but doesn't quite fit with the track imo - I think when everything else is in there it adds to the uneven feel of the perc and makes it sound a little bit like it's tripping over itself.
5.5/10
(Mark scale: 0 Give Up, 1-3 Gonna take some more work, 4-5 Nearly there, 6-8 Signable, 9-10 Outstanding)

thanks for reviews
Stu Cox: I know what you mean about the cheesy lead. but the whole deal with this song is that the oboe is the main melodie. its just to make it deeper, and better ath. And.. got some clips I could here from you? you sound like a pro

I haven't finished a track for ages, I'm definately not a pro Just haven't been able to sit down and work at anything for long enough recently
There are samples of some of my older tracks on the studio section of my site: www.stucox.co.uk/studio.htm... but as I say, haven't done anything for ages.
And anything I say when I'm commenting on a track is just my opinion... re. the oboe, I appreciate that's the whole point of the track, but it's just not really for me.

Man, i'm really digging Scandinavian trance at the minute, you guys rock the floor at Driving/Uplifting. This one gave me the chills. It's immense. The Oboe is extraordinary and is totally original in trance. Some of the keys are a wee bit static and I think it needs more higher key variation but the novelty is there. The percs are awesome and the atmosphere is quality. An it's looooooooooooooooooong. I'm at 8.36 now and it seems like it's building again. Ha, awesome.
I think Stu has ultra high standards because this one would be banging to spin.
