Also, it's not as easy as you'd think to avoid the repeat threads considering that probably more than half of them have some vague thread title like "Help me.." or "I Need some advice..." etc.

I don't think this is an excuse to act like a duschbag. if people just conducted themselves like they do in real life this would be a much more pleasant place. if someone came up to you at a grocery store and asked you where the breakfast cereal was and there was a huge sign right above your head that said which aisle it was in would you flame them in person? i think not.

been posted before, you should have searched for this thread.

:P its the classic debate, now do I side with grumpy ornery people that found this place first? Or do I side with the naive impatient new guy who 'doesn't konw any better'?

Read my first post in this thread for the answer to that, specifically the first sentence.

What would you do if people asked you the same question every 5 minutes?

Tell me that you'd worked in a grocery store like that for 5 years and you wouldn't do it every chance you get and I'll show you a blatant liar.

I have the unfortuness (sp) of being that pled who works in the grocary store (hey its good for my age, beats working in fast food! hehe)

People anger me so much because of how lazy they are and how dumb some people are and ofcourse i act all nice and just smile and tell them that what they are looking for is 2 inches below their face. The only reason i keep my cool is because im getting paid to!

Ok, so we see a lot of threads where people ask the same question over and over again.

And ok, so people use the search function as indeed I have but lets face it, sometimes the threads you find are an all out flame war and don't really touch on the subject it's just some poor 'noob' getting roasted for asking the same question as you may have had.

Last time I asked a question was actually regarding Ableton and the bottom line was 'fuck off and read the manual'. Hence the thread was deleted so I too have an issue with a smug Ableton user.

If you reply to threads with 'use search' you may as well answer the question it would probably take you a similar amount of time to do so. Otherwise just leave it be.

We are all here to share information are we not?

It does however get boring seeing the same ol' questions but it is a forum and that's what happens.

Cheers
Nem

its not the lack of use of the search button that bugs me, its when there are like 4 or 5 threads with almost the exact same title on the first page of the DJ Booth but these people are too lazy to even read them.
