Personaly I think no dancers would be werid. Even though many may not notice them, or care weather or not they're there that's because you ALWAYS see them. I think the dancers go hand in hand with the music. Only thing that bothers me is when they're up there dancing, not really paying attention off in their own little "i'm hot and fucked on coke" look just sort of bobbing around. Oh and when they look like men. I hate that too.

Des does it right though, I've seen her dance twice I think. Once in LA and once out in SD for Markus and Armin. Her, as well as the other dancer with her, looked like they were having a blast. Basically if they were wearing normal clothes you'd never know they were go go dancers

Sorry.

j/k I like the dancers. At worst they're eye candy. When they're good (like Des) they add to the atmosphere. As long as they look like they're having fun, they're cool with me.

yeah, i'd have to say the majority of the dancers i recall have that coked-out blank stare, try not to make eye contact with anyone, their rhythm is on/off and they hardly ever smile unless a pro photographer is pointing a camera at them. that's probably how they all become part of the background to me. desiree on the other hand is the exception, you guys are pretty lucky to have her for a dancer, she genuinely loves the music too which is awesome

I went to see Diggers/Tenaglia in SF at Ruby Skye and there was something about the go-go set up that was awesome, the lightning hitting them, and how they danced on the high ass platform on top of the stage with props. That was pretty cool. I dont have any pictures but I'm sure some of the club websites may have some.

But to be honest, I do tons of clubbing.. edm.. non-edm and lately.. the go-go dancers suck. They just pick any skinny girl off the street that can shake her ass .. put her in some booty shorts and let her go.

i.e. One time at a certain trance club in LA .. (i had mention this in another thread) but man.. there was this go go dancer.. and man was she awful! I couldnt focus on anything except her b/c the go-go platform was right next to the stage. Talk about RHYTHMLESS NATION!! I couldn't stop laughing my ass off.

DESIRE.. you need to give go-go lessons to some of these dancers b/c they dont really move anything special from any other girl off the streets. Doing moves that not many normal people can do is what makes it special and eyecatching. And also looking happy and getting the crowd going helps too. Not the whole "look at me I'm hot and I'm going to pretend I dont care for any of you" style really kinda bores me a bit.

Maybe throw in some fire twirling? *shrugs* hehe

But as for you... keep on doing what ur doing.. gives me motivation to maybe move one day like that. LOL

Hey sweetie
I love a good dancer and it definitely adds to the night. Mediocre or worse, uncoordinated dancers really don't serve to do anything but be eye candy. Real dancers rock Much love to you and your craft. Keep dancing like there's no tomorrow--we need more passion in life.

Yeah you have to remember for me though, I can't wear wigs. I tried on new years, loved my hot pink wig and 10 into my set, it was sliding off so I had to pull it off on stage!!! Awful. I love doing outrageous outfits and props, but the way I dance........I dance so much and intense that no matter accessories I have, they come flying off. I even try to slow down my rythmn a bit to look good with the outfits. But yeah I can agree that there are ALOT of girls who look damn good with the body and even then I get intimidated cause' they're hot, but then when they get on the podium, I watch, and then I'm like, "WTF!" Gotta have the bod and skills, if not the bod, then you better have skills!!

Ever since monster massive 04 (I think I you were there too, in the crowd), I have been somewhat critical of go-go dancers. When edgar V dropped Endre - I kill for you (Probspot remix), I think one of the gogo dancers didn't know how to react to that massive breakdown and maybe out of sheer boredom she sits down infront of the crowd, spreads her legs wide open, and starts pating herself you know where... seriouslly as much as this could possibly be sex appeal, it was like WTF?! Almost like an insult to the beauty of that track, ever since then in my little clubbing experience, been noticing that most of them do NOT really feel the music, personally thats one of the largest turn offs for me and most of the time I either focus on people who are in the music instead and in extreme cases just close my eyes. I have never seen you dance (still under 21 ), I do believe you are beautiful and I have heard so many good things about you, and one day hopefully will get to see you dance .

PS: Usually Im with woody

yeah at MM last year when Jules played (or was it the year before??) The dancers did this stripper move, pating eachother in a certain region, and I thought, "that's not dancing, that's alittle vulgar!" It just bugs me seeing dancers like that cause' it ruins our experience, cause' even then I'm a crowd participant and I'm enjoying the music with everyone else watching. I don't want to see that, I wanna see entertainment, jumping up and down, boucing around, going crazy!!! Fun shit!
