this track is ver rich, though i think the verb is alittle toooo much... maybe turn it down

OOOHHHH!!! the drums around 3:23.... kewl

relaxed pad coool gates after 4:00 and tiny arpy... me likes

this actually is kinda uplifting heh... don't know if your going for that sound but... if so... you nailed it

Hey Lakeus,

Listened to your track. First thing I noticed is the weird title , bossa nueva is more a sensual jazz style if I am correct LoL. Anyways about the track itself, very intresting build up. It reminds me a bit of something that would have fitted well on the Fat of the land album of the Prodigy. Really weird and aggressive opener, Iran is coming with their nuclears haha something like that

You kind of lose me when you make the track totally different after the break. I like the melody after the break but it just seems like two entirely different tracks. Loads of cool elements though. That screamish sound in the background in the second part of the track is awesome.

Minor detail, I think the bass is distorting after the break.

Anyways I am not into psytrance that much but there are very nice elements in your track and especially the atmosphere in the first part of the track is superb.

Cheers!

I'm liking this alot- a needed break from the norm. Sounds slightly Egyptian (I love Egypt btw)! Keep it up and be sure to show us some more!

Cheers!

First of all thank you really much for all of your comments!!

Subtle: I make music with Logic Audio 5.5 and a bunch of synthesizers ( hard and soft ).

canadian didjer: My intention was to make the end of the track uplifting so I´m happy to hear that I nailed it...

Blue Surface: I´m happy to hear that you like the originality of the track and that it in your opinion is changing the genres!!

Nomen Nescio: My point was to make a really hard/not so melodic first part of the track and as a contrast a melodic second part with a melodic breakdown in between. The melody in the first part of the track brought also Prodigy´s Fat of the Land to my mind. I invented the name Bossa Nueva because I thought when I started to make the track about the percussions being like a bossa nova beat... so hence the name!!

The Bio-Booster: It´s always good to break the norms... I´ll post new material here when I´ll get something new done!!

Cheers, Lakeus

Crazy track man. The percussion is very Wizzy Noise sounding. Massive booming bottom end.

Builds are used to good effects and ethnic sounding melodies are a nice touch. Thought the pads seemed a little out of place during the breakdown for some reason. Just seems to loose a lot of momentum. Sounds more uplifting when it comes back in which is a surprise.

Good track, lots of twists, production is good. The join between the two halves though could be more involved though I thought.

Hey mate, thanks heaps for reviewing my track

Overall I really liked Bassa Neuva, especially the first half where it has more focus. The fx are cool. The breakdown is awesome, some really nice sounds in there especially the realy airy pads before the 4 minute mark. My only problem is that while the melodies after the breakdown in the middle are really nice theres loads going on and it all gets a bit muddy. Also it kicks in a bit quick at 4:38. Top stuff!

Hey Lakeus

Cool buildup, great FX. The breakdown is nice too really quite dreamy, good unpredictable chord progression. And it sounds great when the beat comes in.
I miss a bit of clarity when the beat comes back in though, a bit of equing and mastering could help. Nice booming kick by the way.
GOod job
