How is the MIDI control on the A&H? I'm assuming it's not so good since people never mention it when they talk about it. So, if you're planning on using Ableton it would make sense to get the Pioneer, no?

I'm planning on upgrading from a DJM-600 myself... Better get on ebay before prices get driven down too much..

Does anyone know how this works? Does it give you a read out of the key (like a bpm counter)? Or does it allow you to change the key to match (in a similar way to ableton)? or something else....

when u change the pitch u change the key of the track. you are mostly changing the pitch in such a way that the track is caught between the original key and the next. what the mixer does is tweaks the song to the closest key allowing the DJ to perform a proper harmonic mix

That sounds weird...umm....interesting....I'd be intersted to hear it in action! I wonder how accurate it is. Computer software that tries to figure out keys is often innaccurate, and similarly bpm counters aren't always right.
