So I took the track back to the studio and fired it up there. No flaws.. My laptop sucks.. Sorry for the false alarm..

Sounded great on my ATCs.. Top work.. :-)

Hey mate, excellent remix - like it very much

The production is really good, levels are all right etc. The whole thing's got a really energetic and uplifting feel to it. Nice to hear a track which is interesting and would get people moving without it having to have a massive trancey lead in it, it's a really good groover and not a lot of people make them these days!

Only minor criticisms would be that the top end hi-hats could do with being a bit more defined, I think you've used several quite similar sounds and they end up kinda merging into one as a bit of a white noise hiss; also the snare you've used for the breaks in the breakdown is a bit too "old-skool hip hop" for me lol, that's the kind of thing I'd expect to hear on an old skool party breaks tune and doesn't quite work imo... but other than that it's all spot on.

I'd play it

6.5/10 - would probably be a bit higher if you sorted out the things above as they do slightly detract from the professionalism imo

(Mark scale: 0 Give Up, 1-3 Gonna take some more work, 4-5 Nearly there, 6-8 Signable, 9-10 Outstanding)

this is really good, i think i like it more than the heliotropic mix that was on the original release and thats been a firm favourite of mine for years.

great work!!!

Man I havent' heard your songs in forever. Listening now.

Nice bassline. Bring out the hihats a little bit more. They sound a bit thin. Pads sound very nice when they come in. Dreamy and epic. Ah the lead is pretty tight dude. Kind of a pumping and energetic feel. The atmosphere is pretty crazy in this song mate. Note shift comes a bit late in the bassline.

Solid stuff dude. It gets a bit repetitive after time but the vocals kick ass! Nice job there!

cheers for the criticism guys... the hihats i could probably sort out if i re-did them completely, they mostly consist of 2 loops i exported from another old track of mine (i was feeling lazy ) so couldn't really perfect them without replacing them with individuals again. if people think it will make a difference then i can redo them tonight probably

the breakbeat was a bit lazy too, ha. i did want a different breaksy type snare sound though, similar to the one on the original mix.. and that was the best i found without extensive searching. may look around for another but can't promise i'll be successful

and about the keychange... i figured people would want it earlier but i tried it both 16 bars earlier & where it is, and prefferred the latter. personal taste i guess!
