Excellent...
I walk up to Aria, and I see the sign: Miguel + DJ DAN + King Louis (desole, Lee Burrige annule)...I was really pissed. I saw Dan three times last year, the first one was really good, the second and third were like the first, set-wise, with a few new tracks here and there. So I was going in expecting to see the usual Dj Dan show and then be blown away by Lee, whom I've never seen and whose recent sets I didn't listen to on purpose coz I wanted to be "surprised"..yeah, he surprised me by not showing up
So I walk in and Miguel is playing his usual stuff. I respect him because he keeps on being original with his distinct sound that crosses acidy-folk-jazz with house beats (if you here an accordian in a house song, Miguel had something to do with it ), but it doesn't appeal to me so much musically, so during most of his set (he played an hour before Dan came on, when I got there) I sat it out.
I came with aria_clubber , Karl_24 , moevalith , Azia with her sister and Australian friend. Inside I met up with Anne, Stereohead and Meo.
I also met: all-nite-freak (finally! dude you're hilarious and crazy..I hope you come to afterhours more often), Enjoy and shawn05.
I also saw: Lopi and fastmp3.
Dan's set was pretty much a disaster, save for a couple of tracks I haven't heard before that were really good. But he gave a new meaning to commercialism: Drill, Sweet Dreams, etc. I was waiting for Love Generation and Hung Up, but I guess somebody would of been too sick from so much cheese. He also looked pissed, not into his set and I'm sure the lack of people in the club didn't help his mood or his DJing.
As he was finishing I thought to myself: Dan's worst set in Aria and no Lee? /
But then as Hakisak pointed out: our night was saved by local resident, King Louis. I swear, after he dropped the second track and all the way until the end I forgot all about Lee's cancellation. Louis spun the best set I've heard him spin anywhere (upper, aria etc.)..it was track after track, bangers left and right, Heat it Up, What Else Is There and a track I dont know the name of yet that I HAVE to get because it was fucking unbelievably amazing (Haki, u know what I'm talking about....WE HAVE TO GET THE NAME OF THAT TRACK!!!!) .. were just SOME of the highlights, so you can imagine...Trent's remix of Royksopp was the best I think, hearing that song in an afterhour is an experience all by itself.
Louis, you were ten times better than Dan and every single person that was in there knew it, your track selection keeps getting better and better and I was glad to hear that you didn't have the Swedish theme through-out the night but that you went a little outside of your usual style. It payed off big time, congratulations on your set bro.
By the end of the night the DJ-booth and the centre on the floor was filled with TAs...Haki, moe, Juan, shawn and Anne in the booth with Louis pumping up the crowd that had all-nite-freak, myself, Azia with her crew and then Juan who needed his space to dance .
Too bad Stereohead and Meo left just when the night was turning into something special and the music made 180 degree switch from to
The afterparty was sweet. A bunch of people mentioned above all came back to moevalith's who had the inspiration to spin for us (..and that's always nice ) and then Holden at the Controls..(I will post what I think of this in its designated thread and after I've heard the album again...suffice it to say that Holden is still number one).
Thanks for partying guys and gals and thank you Louis for literally making the night brilliant.
This night together with moevalith's set on Friday (review for that coming up later on that thread) made for an extremely fun weekend.

I chilled and did some pre-drinking at Louis' place with him and Mekroon...Louis qui prend mon verre pis qui le dose encore plus mon dieu hehe...Went to Central Station and saw Kal, song of the night: Say What You Want...My god, it's so fkn great, shivers everytime I hear it ...Lots of drinking at Central pis c'etait pas evident apres mon St Patty's Day de malade So I get to Aria (pas mal dosée) with Anne and Mekroon at around 3:45am...Mon dieu sont fackallllllll le monde du hiphop qui cut dans le fil avec aucune classe a part de ca et en plus qui s'essaient avec moi et Anne ...Miguel was pumping some great songs, the place was sooooooo not full Dan came on and overall, I give him a 7.7/10. He was 1234567890 times better in November but still, nice to see him again. The cancellation of Burridge...bon, ben, kes tu veux...Je devrais commencer a m'habituer aux DJs qui chokent avec Desyn qui m'a tellllllement decu...And then Louis came on instead and my God, the place was pumpppppping when I left at 8:30am...Would have stayed but I was very tired. Louis ca sonnait juste debilement malade your tracks were great from what I heard. And again, Say What You Want Thanks for playing that track...I slept the rest of the weekend wouuuuu...Hi to the following: Mitsutranza, Karl24, Azia, Enjoy, All-nite-freak (my god, you must have wanted a shower so bad ), Moevalith ummm, Funken of course, Mekroon, hope I'm not forgetting anyone...oops I did HI LOPI and I really hope Aria's April line-up will be killer

Afterhours is a state of mind, but significantly, it's more a state of 'I don't mind'. A determined continuation, contentment and relief that 'it ain't over yet!' An injection of music into attitude and occasion which creates an emotional wave forth that isolates globally, a ringing harmonic, a signal to a like-minded collective that 'we are only us'.
