Goa Gil is not just a pioneer. He's been active producing and DJ:ing ever since he started within the trance scene.

and saying that he plays one style only is laughable. What is he supposed to play? disco house? Roger Sanchez plays house music only. Is that lame?

I LOL at your comments. LAOL!

First. No. No. No! Pioneers deserve all the respect they get if they actually do something. DJ'ing, imho, doesn't count. Sure, you spread the music, brownie points for that, but you don't actually help it develop or anything. Everybody knows GG's productions have always been pretty mediocre.

About the one style, he plays only dark psy. Sure, if you like that it's great - I never said otherwise. But he could try some change just for once.

Well, it's relative. He was early playing trance as it started to get popular, making it rise in popularity faster.

...damnit, that was really shitty. Fine, I was wrong, I admit it.

Cinos is a gimp. He only makes himself an individual by being a 'goa' addict when not as many other people are here, and he uses it to slag off anything that doesn't fit into his spectrum of music. Just read his reviews on trancecritic, he bums anything that suits his style & slags anything that doesn't. He's just an annoying little gobshite who thinks he's special for being into whatever he is, when he's just a little nazi cúnt whose opinion is worth no more than the average sheep who follows whatevers cool. Just ignore him mate & listen to people who actually know stuff

I went to goa gil's website and it seems that he's experienced so much stuff, I'm talking about life, not drugs.

I bet you he has some great stories.

You COULD of course repeat yourself even MORE often. Have you ever tried posting this 10 times a day? I bet that would raise your boring life to off-the-charts leves!

Wasn't he actually playing on Dat tapes?

I know he played with Dats back in the day because apparently they are more resistant to heat than regular vinyl which is useful when playing outside in the summer in crazy heat. At least that's the story I heard some 10 years ago or so.

why change a winning formula? you may not like it but his fans love it.

oh and Ian: I've been listening to goa trance and psy trance in general ever since the early years with Hallucinogen, The Infinity Project, MWNN, Etnica but damn not even I am so narrowminded to think that anything except for goa trance is shit :P

I don't, either. Why would I otherwise have the shelf full of balearic trance, ambient and the likes?

Ian is just talking straight out of his ass.

Only the generic fullon kind. There IS good fullon, but nobody ever mentions it.
