Sometimes kitchens make noises because of the air that comes in from the exhaust. When I moved back into a house after being in a condo for a while I was FREAKING out because I kept hearing weird noises. It also sucked because I was alone a lot (hubby travelling for business) so I honestly thought someone was going to come kill me.

Turns out most of the noises were coming from the ducts and especially the exhaust.
