Maybe up north, but the south is banging out loads of great trance nights at the moment. I've been regularly going to wildchild, slinky, the gallery and loving it.

But you dont have to chat only about trance on here- that's what most of you are saying. 'Since I dont listen to trance, I dont post on here anymore'. Other forums have plenty of discussions on other genres of music no problem.

When I first joined ta, it was usually the case that you introduced yourself to members & got to know them, As a rule, most people got on really well & gave a close knit ukta community. This continued for a long time, but as the board changed, newer members didn't make the same effort in all cases, leaving it less close wound, and ultimately the fact nobody has anything in common with others, or tries to get on as a group has led to the downfall.

i never introduce myself on any forum..its totally unnecessary. you should be able to get to know people just by what they post...you can pretty quickly suss out if theyre your type of person. the rpoblem with it being a close knit community as you put it is that its the internet...people are miles away. its all well and good if you all live in the same area and can meet up etc, but not every can or in fact wants to. forums arent about creating an online community, they should just be a place to throw a few comments out there and have a bit of banter.

this forum had aquite a shitey clique feeling to it imo. i remember one thread someone asked what the joke was or something and they got a reply along the lines of "private joke" . thats what happens when you try and create an online community.

basically the forum just got shit because people stopped coming on here, and those that did had nothing interesting to say..include me in that as well, although i rarely come one here.

fuck knows why i have just written that essay. it appears i have nothing better to do..quite a sad story all round in think.

You all moan that UKTA is weak. So come up with Ideas on how we can improve the forum.

This place is only as good as the people that use it.

I totally agree with those who say the Trance scene in the UK is dead, I've long gone off trance listen to the occasional liveset download the occasional tune but I can't be bothered with it anymore I've been listening to a lot more house and electro music these days, because my tastes have matured, yes there is some decent trance out but it's not how it was years ago the fun has gone out it and variety has turned into cloned formulatic shite. I have personally moved on.

Also the festivals here, would go to an event and watch Sasha & Diggers, Zabiela, Desyn and co but I'll be fucked if I have to go to some massive event full of a load of little fucking pikeys it lacks class.

Calla you potato eating paddy fuck-stick. Get your arse back in the chat room and trade insults with me as in days gone by.

Yeah, but most of us in TO know each other and still post. Plus, there are many here that have moved into the love of house music, but that doesn't mean they leave TA- we can converse about all genres on here.

Did many leave w/the advent of UKTA.tk? That was my impression a while back.

Yeah, but if i want to talk to someone i know, i'll use Messenger or call them up.

I've mover to the Harderfaster board, its much more active and more interesting and theres lots of new people there to meet
