Try Ableton Live 5. You don't even have to beatmatch!

Sorry, I shouldn't have posted that.

Dude, stick with it. It takes so much time. I spend about as much as you do and have only been mixing about 5 months and its still tough. But ya get better as long as you stick with it. You cant expect to become #1 dj in the world over night. And besides, if you enjoy the music you are spinning then that is all that should matter no matter how bad or good you are.

you dont have to mix harmonically......

6 months? Thats just scratching the surface. Have you tried other techniques for beatmatching and such? You mentioned you trainwrecked a lot...

I beatmatch in my headphones, I find it much more accurate. Experiment...

Dude. Six months is nothing, suggest you listen to something new and take break for a few weeks. Don't give up, if you build it he will come..

I know how you feel. With me i'm in the middel of nowhere, a place that nobody has anything in common with me. I don't have somebody to tell me if my mix sucks etc. I have to be my own critic. I spend lotsa time practcing. The best way i found to do it is just keep recording transitions. I have my laptop right in front for easy access. I suggest you do the same. Do a transition then play it back. best way.

everybody goes ups and downs with everything but trust me if you keep at it youll learn that you can't live without out it and you actually like it. It's just a phase your going through. This happened with me once after some guy ruined a gig i had by spilling beer all over my cd's

Haha fustraited and using cdjs.
When i started spinning with turntables i had so many problems with skipping, skating, feedback, not tracking properly etc i almost gave up before i started! Ok well i didnt nearly give up but your lucky your frustraition didnt start with getting your equipment to work properly. Just practice, mix it up abit try some other edm genres you dont normally play. I mostly like trance and hard trance but if im feeling bored ill get out some breaks and some house.
