he reacts differently to crobar/nyc...maybe that has to do in part with his interpretation of the nyc big club vibe. djs seem to alter their set to this...sometimes in a good and other times bad way. that and the notion of a somewhat extended set... i guess makes him go differently and not drop great track after great track right from the beginning. certainly even the good crobar nights from last year were not based on entirely on melodic sounds, which is what i can say of my favorite sasha gigs outside of nyc this year and last.
also, i'd have to say he dropped maybe at least 3 progressive tracks that built up in the classic prog house/trance way at glow...which was a change as well.
for people who enjoy him dropping stuff like M83- teen angst, or egg- the wall (certainly amazing moments for myself) this has not happened in all these really good club nights outside of nyc for me.... so definitely there's good and bad involved in how he reacts to crobar. mainly though, his opening fundacion nyc night this year sucked... and most others have been a lot better to different extents.
if he comes to avalon or axis this year.... i am so there. that will be another perfect set. perfection is more predictable outside of crobar
