ok i will agree with you on that. you are right. so let everyone express their views about the club and bouncers and what not and smart people would make smart choices and dumb people will ... well, you got it

Graham, obviously you don't need us to tell you whether you were justified in being disappointed by not being let in. However, you tried to get in, you didn't, it's not really the end of the world. If the club states it is 21+, you can't really claim it's unfair you werent let in. Many clubs allow younger women in because, well, they're younger women and look good in the club. (not to say you don't look good - you get what I'm saying) I know you think this is "unfair" but what is ever FAIR about the nightlife industry? It's a business that tends to have a lot of rules but doesn't follow the rules themselves.

Clubs discriminate on a lot of things, hell we all probably do, but what gets me is people who get soooooo uptight because a club is picking and choosing who gets in based on rules that "don't make sense" to many people in the EDM scene.

I hate to break it to you, people - TIL is probably putting on these nights still targeting the Saturday night type crowd. And many clubs realize they can still have EDM playing and stay open after hours and have a dress code and still have a successful night. I am very into electronic music, and I enjoy getting a little dressed up and going to a nice venue that doesn't smell like shit and that has a place to sit and makes nice martinis and isn't dark as fuck. I like being able to hear electronic music in a club like TIL that is a touch more upscale and there are many others like me.

Those of you griping about the dress code or the crowd - understand that this means you are not the target market for this club.

I can appreciate that people who genuinely love electronic music and the DJs being brought in would think that they are the target market for this type of venue - but if you get your panties in a knot over dress code or lighting, then it's pretty clear that the club is banking on an entirely different audience coming to support these nights. It's not an EDM crowd like many are used to, especially those coming from the rave scene.

FYI seeing all the comments about management and owners
They are one and the same
The place was bought out By Charles Kabouth and Jimmy Lightning (GUV and formerly Tonic)
So they are no strangers in how to run a place , owners are entitled to run a club as they see fit
If you don;t like it , don't go , others will

see thats the problem

i personally would like to go to a club where i know everyone in my group will be admited. yes dress code can be an issue.

but for some reason, there have been several who have been allowed to enter places such as the drink with a defined dress code and wearing the same clothing they attempted to enter TIL and were declined.
