Whereas with rock music there is not much to listen to. Only the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith. All forms of rock after this have yielded little to no production, and electronic music is the only form of music where there is a variety and vast amount of. The only.
My point was clearly made. Hopefully you are smarter then a 3 year old to understand it.

You aren't making a good enough effort if you think good rock music pretty much ended after the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith.

Also, let's not forget that underground is very relative to the community in general, as in the location:
I'm from Cleveland, Ohio, where Paul van Dyk would be considered underground WAY BEFORE he would be in Germany, where he would not be considered nearly underground.

Underground is a measure of popularity just like the term pop[ular] music is. Whether it'd be in the EDM world, rnb, country, or any other music genre it is simply a status used to classify music which hasn't been heard by the masses yet. For example trance in Europe is commonplace so it's not considered underground nor is it pop either. If you were to spit out some trance artist names to your average top 40 listener in the United States chances are those artists would render underground to them because they have never heard of them.
I agree with this. I don't know how bad it is in europe, but I wouldn't hasitate to call armin or tiesto underground. Of course there are different levels of popularity. But by far the majority haven't heard of these names in their lifetimes. Even in a party city like montreal, trance practically doesn't exist. So that considered, all trance is underground here. Except maybe DJ Sammy - if you want to call that trance.

Because production is all there is to music, right? And let's not forget, rock music isn't ever well produced...
