i think i'd go as far as saying shattered dreams is my favourite track EVER by an unsigned/amateur artist... so was keen to check this out based on the description
i think the 'vocals' (if you can call them that) have potential, but they don't quite sound right. i think it would actually sound better if, like with shattered dreams, they sounded like a low-quality, dirtier sample ripped from a movie... it's almost like they're too clean here.
i love the track, though... the beat at the beginning reminded me alot of way out west's 'melt'. the use of ambient background sounds is awesome, and the chords work really well towards sounding emotional without being cliched. the intro/outro are brilliantly done too. not as instantly grabbing as shattered dreams but think it'll grow on me more over time. great job guys

Funny you should say that - it was an 8 bit mono recording with lots of clipping, pops and hiss. I had to edit them quite a bit to even make them useable.
haha, strange. can you see how i mean in comparison to the SD sample though? (think it was from bladerunner wasn't it?)... sounds alot more rough & you can even hear feint background noise in it. i thought that worked really well

Yeah, I know what you mean. This one originally had clips from 2001 and 2010 but we thought we should get something we did ourselves this time.

sounds good, but you should make an exit mix/edit of it too
does boomer know that that was an ending??? hmm. Let that be a mystery!

nice track you have made. the samples fits nice in to this tune.
And it 's not very often that i get chance to hear any breakbeat trax anymore. keep it up man.
