The HD25s probably have the flattest response out of all the headphones mentioned in this thread.

I use them and top of the range techs.

Cheers
Nem

Now, HD25's although i own a pair of rp-dj1200's. Can't really fault the techs apart from they get a bit uncomfortable over extended periods.

Pioneer HDJ1000 & Sony MDR-V700 were also the headphones that I was trying to choose from couple weeks ago, I ended up ordering the pioneer hdj1000. I read a lot of reviews on both, some people said that they break easy, & some said that they owned their's for more than a year and they didnt break, so basically it depends on how good you take care of it, but i also dont understand why ppl bitch and tell other ppl not to buy them when their headphones break when what they are using is made out of plastic! plastic breaks, thats final, dont expect it to last you a life time, but very long enough if you take Extreme good care of it. some ppl said that both sound quality are poor, some said they are awsome, thats when I realised that im gona experience myself and not see wut other ppl think, but I went for the pioneer coz someone who ownes the sony mdr-v700 told me that its very uncomfortable to wear for more than 30 mins, and i really dont wana take the risk coz if its true then i would throw em in a garbage, coz we dont spin for less than 30 minutes right. but anyway i think you should go with what everyone here is telling ya, the MDR-7506 . or I can give you a link if you want were you can read more than 20 reviews for each of these headphones from people who owns them, this will help you decide on ur own

I think the best cans for DJing are the Sony MDR-7506/V6 and The Senheiser HD25

Both get praise from everyone who uses them, hands down.

SONY MDR V 7506

or Most Closed back sennheisers are superb. Not just the HD25's.

Sennheiser know how to make headphones. And they do it damn well.

IMO some of the best DJ headphones you can buy is the Sennheiser HD212. Might not look great, but trust me. For mixing they are fucking awesome.

Loud, Solid bottom end, and seal out loads of noise. About 1/3 the price of most if not all of the other cans mentioned here too.

I own those, they aren't bad, but I don't think they are as great as you think. I mean for starter headphones, sure they sound fine, but I don't think they are quite loud enough or clear enough. I'm probably going to get the HD25s.

i dj mostly hip hop at partys so for me good headphones aren't really necessary. I dj perfectly well with my american audio hp700's and they cost way less.

Ultrasone DJ-1Pro, DJ-1, or Sennheiser HD25. That's it. No other headphones even come close.

I own DJ-1Pros, btw.
