Now I want to pop in my Apocalypse Now dvd when I get home.

What I'd buy:
Private island in the south pacific
Private jet
The Maple leafs and make them the Oilers farm team.

What I'd do:
Sit on my ass and love the fact I would never have to work another day in my life.

I had no idea it was in "The Island," I found out about this sucker about 2 years ago from another forum.

Also, yeah, about $24 million USD with the turbine engines, but if you get it with twin turbo diesel engines, the price drops to about $17 million.

with a billion eh.....
- new house (I love my house but if I have a billion I think maybe an upgrade would be in order) with a large plot of land
- pay off my brother's house (I would buy him a new one but knowing Scott he wouldn't be willing to accept a gift of that magnatude)
- pay off my in-laws mortgage
- purchase a vacation property in Turks Cacos (spelling?)
- purchase an ocean going cattamaran (40 foot or so)
- investment in a balanced and semi secure stock portfolio
- purchase/establish a business enterprise (something small, to keep me busy)

Oh, big TOTA party - line up TBA, free admission, party favours and beverages on me!

What I'd Buy:

A Saab with all the shit - and it'd be automatic
A yacht and a crew to sail her
An island in Fiji and build a small town on it with general store, hardware, groceries, an H&M outlet, etc. and invite anyone who wants to to live there to do so for free (hence the need for a town). Make a sick club on the island with the best soundystem and get any DJs I want to spin there for my friends.
A Flat in Amsterdam.
A giant plot of land in Montana or Colorado with a horse ranch.
A plane for easy commute.
Home for my mom and a car whereever she wants - although she'd probably pick the island anyways.

What I'd Do:
Spend 2-3 years travelling the world - leave no corner untouched save maybe the Poles.
Become a wildlife photographer and get published in National Geographic.
Donate millions to the National Park Service to keep their lands as is and expand them.
Back a good Democratic candidate for presidency.
Donate millions to alternative energy research and study climatology of previous warming periods in the Earth's history.
Hire myself J-Lo's trainer and then take her on in a dance off a year later.
Donate millions to pro-choice, pro-gay, pro-civil rights groups.
Write a book.

First thing's first.... I'd retire

I'd probably be pretty reasonable with my money, give myself a budget of like 5-10 million per year or something. I'd definately buy a lot of property, maybe a penthouse in that new trump tower to live in

Cars? I wouldn't be able to decide, so I'd just buy one of every car I liked.

Travel? Snowboarding in whistler, partying in ibiza, shopping in milan or New York. I'd spoil myself shamelessly.

I find it very touching that most if not all of our lists begin with taking care of our family and friends - shows what is really important in life

Although I wouldn't mind a billion or two...

Things I would buy:
7 exotic cars - one for each day of the week.
That boat you guys pictured above.
A Fountain 42 Poker Run Speed Boat with custom baby blue paint job.
A loft in NY, Miami, London, Paris, Rome and Dubai.
A castle in Austria.
A bigger purse collection than Kimora Lee Simmons.
The love of Armin Van Buuren.

Things I would do:
Fulfill the wishes and dreams of my family and friends.
Travel the world a few times over.
Never again sit at the desk I'm at now, wishing I had a billion dollars.

M.
