I agree with a lot of what you are saying, I'm very picky about what minimal I listen to and cannot stand a lot of tracks by the "big boys" or minimal- lobos, smoke, magda etc... It really takes a lot to find minimal that stands out- its' probably the genre I find most difficult to wade through, But when you do find those gems, you just never want to stop listening to them. I'd also liek to add how kickass Alex Stealthy is... It's like a mixture of minimal, prog and some hardy techy stuff on some of it. He's been on heavy rotation lately.

Naw fuck that, it has to have that vibe- Hard to explain, you just kind of know it when you hear it. I think Minimal is a shitty name for the genre, but whatever, it sounds "hip" so fuck it.
