Sure, they beat the Red Wings, who were the #1 seed and won the Presidents' Trophy, but they had a rookie in net with no playoff experience, and their leading scorer, Pavel Datsyuk, didn't play the first game, and was a non-factor throughout the series because of that injury.

Rookie goalie??? since when an 8th year goalie (197 games) considered a rookie? if you are meaning as a starting goalie, well edmonton was basically in the same boat with Roloson (214 games), he backed up fernandez.
I'm not placing Edmonton in the same class of power houses like any one else left in the playoffs, but the way they are playing, well lets just say I like them making the finals pretty damn good.
