Not much as an experienced business run person either for my experience is lacking in starting a company, per say. I've never managed people much in a business. Nor have I been a project manager for something. I know it sounds ridiculous but realistically I'll probably need several millions of dollars to startup. I'll need to hire business consultants, plenty of lawyers for protection and intellectual property stuff, Accountants, Publicists, a dozen talented programmers and not the least, graphic artists. Eventually down the road marketers, realtor, and the whole shabang to make a business work and run smoothly. I have thought of going to a few Universities and talk to professors about this venture. Maybe ask them to help me select student who would want to help in the project. Personally, I don’t have any concrete ideas where about I should start on this. This forum has folks with broad ideas so any advice?

you are so pathetic that i will so nicely give you a cold but very real advice.

if you don't know shit and you're just thinking about it like you think about let's say.. what to eat for dinner you should just fuc*ing forget about it.
i mean for god's sake, this is you:
hi i dont know shit about managing, or computer or programming
i certainly got this 'so amazing i can't even share the idea' idea about me being a big shot with this idea but i just have no clue how to do anything about it, so i might as well post it in the cor where its reowned for its stupidity and fun
i also am thinking of making this a huge company like google and making it so useful in our lives; hell as common as the shit everyone uses everyday.
you don't know jack shit, even if you have what it takes to learn about everything you need to know to get this business going, i bet this one time idea phase will pass through you like it never happened

dream on, kid.

edit: yes, you are probably older than me, and maybe know more about life than me. yes, but your childish thoughts just amuse me

Yes I am probably much older than you and know a thing or two. With that gambit statement of your's why don't you just STFU. The advice you given me wasn't much of an advice. You want me to dream on? Well... I am and I am putting motion into it by acting. Getting some feedback by people who may know a thing or two. TOTA isn't just my only source of feedback. But with it's diversity maybe something good can come up that I just need.

This idea is something I didn't just shit out and write on a piece of toilet paper you worthless-advice-giving hopeless turd. I've looked around and so far the internet community has not come up with this "tool". So unless you have some actual "real advice" then I'm all ears. I'll take it cold and take it bitter, as long as it's worth more than your post.

well since your project apparently involves programming some internet-based stuff the very first thing you should do is learn the languages yourself. The people behind google and ebay weren't just like "wow i have some super cool idea why dont i just go makea shitton of money off of it." im not sure about ebay but i know the 2 people behind google were very knowledgeable about the subject matter they were getting themselves into when they created google themselves. Alot of people will think 'but what about bill gates?? he was a college dropout and he's now a billionaire running microsoft!!!' well it turns out he didnt drop out of community college for a smack habit and then fuck around and stumble across a 50 billion dollar idea. he dropped out of harvard because he had a cool idea about microprocessors that he had been working on as a hobby and obviously knew alot about.

What I'm trying to say is, for all i know your idea could be totally unrealistic. I'm doing a matchmaking website (like roommates.com or eharmony) for some guy who doesnt know shit about computers and he had all these crazy ideas at first. He absolutely had to have his website done asap so nobody would steal his idea first ("do you think you can finish this by tomorrow night?") and wanted his thing to do all kinds of crazy stuff and he had all these huge plans but frankly alot of them arent realistic. I'm not saying hes completely full of it he does have a good idea and I'm sure he will make some money off of it I just don't see it generating the millions upon millions that he desires.

So to sum it all up or if you dont want to read all that: before you start estimating how much money you need, where to get it from, before you start drafting up fancy business models you had better learn more about just what it is you are trying to do because as far as I can tell you are just swinging in the dark. who knows, i might be wrong

once you learn these things, you will realise that your once great idea is not so great.
