Weird the Cheetah was mentioned. My buddy Vadim and I were just browsing VintageSynth the other day and were like "hmmm what's this Cheetah brand thing?"

So pretty decent sounds out of it eh?

emc^2, you got any super cool samples from it?

The sound of Cheetah is very close to Oberheim Matrix 1000 or 6.
It uses the same Curtis chipset that was to be found in
Akai AX60 (btw, review coming), SCI ProVS, and bunch of other 80's polys. I like the sound of it and I'll try to get some samples recorded for ya. Definitely a worthy investment.

And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Sorry had to defend my Love of waldorfs here....You can also import you own wavetables into the Microwave XT via Sound Diver...its sort of a complex proccess but all in all you CAN import your own wavetables...And My Waldorf brothers are back from the dead.
