it was again an absolutely unique and overwhelming experience. I don`t know why, but when I play in montreal from the technical side it`s not that different to other gigs I play, but the connection to people is somehow much more intense and stronger. I have no explanation for that, maybe it`s a supernatural thing. imagine, there are guys writing in my guestbook or email me "hey, why don`t you move to montreal?" or "aria should offer you a residency", I mean that`s more than I could ever expect, really!
anyway, it makes me very very happy that it again worked out in such a positive way and even that we don`t have a special follow-up date right now I am very much looking forward to come back to montreal again. the people and their open-mindedness are much different to many other places...
I don`t have the right words for it, if you want you can post this email in your forum as I really don`t know how to find the right words on it. just tell all the people having been there that I really thank them, that I am VERY VERY happy that they obviously like what I am doing but at the same time a big THANK YOU and a even bigger hug to you as without you I would never be in such a lucky position. all of you guys should prepare yourself already now for the next time as then we will tear the place apart, that`s for sure!
for the moment I hope that your community goes for the CD as this CD means a lot to me and I hope we can make it succesful. actually the booklet isn`t so uptodate anymore as we already topped january :-), but nevertheless I hope it`s going to be interesting for the people anyways.
