its really difficult to write a cover letter when you're applying for a position which goes through a recruitment agency, because you dont get the company name, and theyre always vague on the actual job role.

I've just waffled about myself, my skills, what i do now and what i do in the past for mine.

Without even reading the whole thing, I say that one golden rule is to cut down BIGTIME on the number of sentences beginning with "I". The first three sentences begin with "I", the first two with "I am". If I were a employer, I would dump your application as your grasp of the English language appears somewhat lacking.

Harsh, but true.

i spent an hour compiling a good resume, never made a cover letter and i've gotten 3 solid job offers/interviews in the last week and i never sent my resume to anyone. they called me first. they're just like "hey im looking at your resume on monster and we want to meet with you."
