the catholic church... well that is all about faith and belives.. u cant bring that into this argument i dont think.. as the catholic church.. or religion in general is all about faith.

Differences yes, inability to be equal.. I'm not sure.

I mean, sure, it is obvious that men are typically much more inclined to the physical spectrum of things, whereas women cannot always compete, but there are other aspects that a woman is better than a man.

So men and women aren't the same, but that doesn't mean one should be valued more than the other.

equality

n 1: the quality of being the same in quantity or measure or value or status [ant: inequality] 2: a state of being essentially equal or equivalent; equally balanced

"Feminist:

Originally used to describe a person whose beliefs and behavior are based on feminism (the belief in the social, political, and economic equality of the sexes and the movement organized around this belief) but now has very varied and contradicting meanings. A feminist is more commonly used inaccurately as a term for a man-hater or female who sees herself as superior for having a vagina."

with the differences.. inability to do one thing for a sex... will show and the ability to do something else will also. im still not saying one is supirior than the other. but forget the phisical example... that is the most obvious and simplest one to see.. there are many others.

but i never said one is better than the other. im afraid poeple got the idea i said that from my previous posts. if it came across like that, either i said something wrong, or u guys missunderstood me.

thats the definition he was working off (I believe)

The whole premise of feminism is that whatever a man can do, a woman can o just as well. Which is probably not true, as some things guys can do better than women and vice versa. Therefore they are not equal in abilities.

But things balance out. So equal in value yes, but can a woman do everything a man can just as well? Probably not.

I think the idea of feminism is good but the typical feminists are fuck all. Most of the times I have seen, feminists are out there to mess around with men more than work more for women.

Most of the feminists or those type of people usually have a lot of negativity in them and honestly, dun give good vibes.

For example, there was this awareness program sort of thing in my college last week and these 2 girls from a club put up about 200 t- shirts with stuff written on it on campus so that people could see them. The program was about raising awareness about rape and stuff.

Now the disturbing part about this was the stuff which was written on those t-shirts. They made the girls who were raped etc. etc. write about their life on the shirts and this so called club posted these shirts so that people can see what girls/women have gone through in these during.

Like there was this one story written on a shirt which was like: You told me that I was your role model. You told me that I was the inspiration in your life and that I was like your elder sister. Then why did you do this to me and why did you make me lose my happiness forever...Now, I can never be a complete woman because of you.....

This might not be very disturbing but imagine 200 of them with different story in each of them. It can spoil your day thinking about stuff like this.

This is the kind of negativity I usually associate feminists with. They really take feminism to a whole new level. I mean for god sake, all educated people have a fair idea of how to treat a woman and for the ones who don't, the police is there...

How do you know they can't be the same? It's never been tried. The whole point of feminism isn't to claim that women are presently equal to men, but rather that they have the potential to be. You can't use the argument that men are generally better at some things and women are generally better at others, because all of those traits are defined by society - meaning that the roles could be interchanged if a woman was raised as a man or vice-versa.
