I already explained what I meant by that. if its either over-dramatic or trying to hard to be something...like an anthem.

My assesment of the situation is that he has accepted that but doesnt feel it is a valid reason to stop bashing people who like it. I feel that further arguing over this point is futile. At this point is has become an ego war, which no amount of arguing will result in reduced bashing of music, even though it is obvious that interperetations vary.

The only options at this point are "so what" or changing your taste to agree with his. That is the campaign everybody is on, to get people to convert tastes, onward musical missionaries, fight the crusade!

ok so you distinguish "good music" from "what you like", which is something i personally don't do but nevermind. now try to distinguish "good music" from "what you think that is good music". do you think that is possible? and can you explain what makes all good tracks good?
