yep thats the one we going to be staying at as well. booked it already. I was surprised that the rates were that reasonable given its in the financial district and then find out that its 40$ a day for parking because they only have valet. Clever bastards.

I think I messed up with the .94 miles part. It is .94 miles to the Brooklyn Bridge, so its about 3 miels to the Tabacco Warehouse, whoops. Still close enough !

If you guys need directions I can forward you the ones that I've been using the last 3 times I've driven down.
They leave from Toronto. If you're leaving from another area i.e. Cambridge, Guelph etc...I'm sure you can figure it out from there.
It takes about 7-8 hours to drive...depending on if you take your time and how fast you drive. I've driven both at night and during the day...and I highly recommend driving at night. Usually I leave around 11ish...you beat traffic on the highways as well as rush hour traffic in the city.
Total tolls is about $14 there and back.
Anyway...let me know if you need the directions. I have them saved.
P.S. I can't take full credit for them...I saved them after RJ so kindly provided us with them back in November.

New state throughway to route 81 tolls equals $5.30
that should be your only toll.
Coming back you have to pay at the delaware water gap crossing back into PA and it's either 75 cents or 1.50.
If you are paying anything more than that then you are taking a longer route than you should.
Cross at Niagra Falls, pick up NY throughway (route 90) heading east. Stay on until Syarcuse and then switch over to route 81.
81 to 380 the switch here happens in Scanton.
380 to 80
80 to 46 (the third or 4th time they cross, not the first one. You are looking for the one that says Clifton, lincoln tunnel)
46 to 3
3 into Mannhattan.
as you get onto 3 stay in the fast lane for 3 great views of the NYC skyline as you get close.
Quite doable in 7 hours if you have people on board who can limit thier piss breaks to only when stopping for gas.
It's too bad I just moved to LA a week and a half ago otherwise I would have loved to host an after party for this. A lounge and sketch event going all day would have been nice with all of you.
Enjoy it. I'm jealous that I can't be home to hang out with you guys at something like this.

^^^ Way ta ruin my fun Dave.
I drove to New York just last Tuesday though and I'd say it was closer to $14...but that was including border fees ($3) and entrance to the tunnel ($6). Laura and I paid another $65, $6.50 and another small one going there and back.
But yea...about 7 hours as long as you drive steadily and don't stop much.
There is a fair bit of construction going on on the highways right now. At one point there's like 10 miles of one lane with only like 3 of actual construction. There's mostly just small patches though (both directions). This is why I recommend driving throughout the night.
