Most importantly he's a big with plenty of upside (but still proven not just some prospect). Plus, they need a big guy. There is the whole "Draft the Stash" campaign for Adam Morrison but I'm still leery on his defense and athleticism. I love the passion though and I think he'll score in the NBA. With the NBA going more towards shooting/offense, his defensive liabilities might not be a big of a problem.
Brandon Roy will probably win ROY because he's the most complete player in the draft as he does everything well. He just doesn't do anything exceptionally well. I wouldn't be disappointed with him though. Will he be a star or will he be a nice complementary player?
I had a dream the Blazers traded Darius Miles for a rotten pile of shiate and I was smiling ear to ear. Knicks, you know you want him.
and zack randolph hehe.
edit: anybody want PF kenny thomas? make me an offer

No way we can pull this trade off,we need to add a second draft pick or something in order for it to work ... i couldnt belive it when the Knicks offered the Expiring contract of Penny for Miles and Ratliff and that idiot Nash declined

Sergio Rodríguez is a very nice PG: fast hands, great speed, and is a leader.

i think he'll be somewhere in between. i can see him averaging about 10-15 points game, becoming an essential part to whatever team he goes to. I dont know about becoming a star though. But, you never can tell.

i heard his defense is suspect though
a lot of rumors have the sacramento kings drafting him but i diasgree because
1) petrie never follows the consensus hehe
2) the team is going in a more "defensive" direction, having a suspect PG defender next to artest and bozni doesnt make much sense now.
3) the kings gave up jwill straight up for mike bibby, showing that the era of the flashy/high TO player in sac is done.
that being said i think s-rod is a project and might be rewarding to teams that have the patience to devolp him

according to espn radio reports, toronto looks like they have a strong showing to choose rudy gay for their first pick in the draft . if they do, he will reunite with former teammate charlie villanueva, and team up with chris bosh and morris peterson. with the emergence of mike james, and the development of joey graham, toronto looks like it will be a high flying team next year if things go the right way . haha .

Toronto has signed Jorge Garbajosa, one of the best forwards in Europe.

Brandon Roy is the top guy in this draft in my eyes. In two years or so he'll be a copy of poor man's Wade. Trash me all you want but he's good. Saw him in person and the guy is a mature leader with great hands. He's shot is smooth. He needs to work on defence though.

My Blazers traded Sebastian Telfair for the 7th pick. There is some other players involved but that's the main deal. Telfair was gonna be the backup to Jarrett Jack anyway and is a classic NY point guard. Which is:
1. Quick point guard who will commit the turnover to make the flashy pass instead of the good pass
2. Can't shoot his way out of a paper bag (unless gets streaky hot)
3. Too small to play any kind of noteworthy defense
4. Arrogant and doesn't fit into the team concept making his team worse
See Stephon Marbury as a leading example.
Hopefully Brandon Roy will slip to Portland at 7. That is what I'm hearing at the moment but we'll see. Woo HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo Picks 4 & 7 now. I'm excited.
Curious where Morrison is gonna go....

yay!!! portland screwed them all hehe
Brandon Roy and that Alderidge kid which is the best in this draft imo for Telfair and a 4th draft pick, i love danny Ainge!:-)
Im not sure i want The Blazers to open with Randolph and Alderidge though because of the defensive issue that's created when opening with 2 PF's - especially when one of them is Randolph...

brandon roy is the fucking shit. Im as hardcore of a UW basketball fan as there ever will be. Saw every game for the last 3 years. Just to let you know though, he doesnt need to work on his defense. thats actually one of his strong points. He came into the draft as being the most "complete" player.
