I just saw that now...yess the beginning of the 90s...386 dx33mhz computers, internet was not known, the explosion of technology, music, graphics...great great years...lol this set brings the memories flooding back (i was 14 when i got trancemaster-9-"conditions of mental abstraction" in 1995 or something lol...very similar sound, i still remember the first two awesome tunes of this compilation "mandala-astralia" and "cosmo-hymn").Really thanks for that...!!!

I even hear some breakdowns here and there in this mix, nothing huge or over the top.
This stuff has some goa sounds, but it is more along the lines of progressive trance.
It's progressive trance really...I like it overall, more enjoyable than that Nasa set, really because this is similar to a lot of the stuff I listened to back in 98 and 99.
I agree, but it sounds older than '98 to me. I bought Trance Nation '94 in 94:
The Age Of Love - The age of love
Cosmic Baby - Hear yourselves dreaming
Interative - Koma
L.S.G. - Fragile
Marusha - Go Ahead
Paragliders - Paraglide
subscript: scooter.....
Then had a look at 98:
Carlos - The Silmarillia
Three'n One - Pearl River
Kay Tracid - Your own reality
Nalin & Kane - Talking About
Nylon Moon - Sky Plus
Marco Zaffarano - Pandora's Box
Carl Cox - 2 paintings and a drum
Marmion - Schoneberg
Mega 'Lo Manio - Close your eyes
Cosmik Vision - Cosmik Vision
Rodd-Y-Ler - Lifesigns
This was the trance I was listing to in this period and don't tell me this wasn't real trance or something like that
I like the breakdowns and believe in general tracks are more uplifting than in the mid 90's. Also sounds have become much clearer and natural. But the mid 90 tracks for sure have a more special athmosphere, probably due to the older equipment but also because it was something new and special. Didn't die this trance together with it's equipment?

33/34 mins: Cosmic Baby - it's either "Sweet Dreams For Kaa" or "Spacetrack", for some reason i never distinguish these two
46/47 mins: Cygnus X - Positron
