Sven must really be regretting leaving out Bent or Defoe. Even Fowler would do. It's a shame Shearer wouldn't come to the team as a sub off the bench but his day is long past.
Owen wasn't really doing anything but he can score when you least expect it, usually in the openining minutes (a la Brazil 2002 and Portugal 2004) and then disappears. Sven still has options...like putting one of his midfielders into the attack but maybe a 4-5-1 might be better suited now, unfortunately.
