Here's a short history on Mixer EQs on DJ Mixers
Late 70's - Mid 80's 5 Band Equalizers
Mid 80's - Today 7 Band Equalizers
There are a few cheaper brands (Pyramid, PlyePro) that
offer 10 Band Equalizers.
5 Band Equalizers were phased out when the 7 band came
along.
I actually have a mixer dating back to the mid 80's, and, one going back to the late 70's.
Nothing special, but they do work.
