As amazing as it may seem, it's not called music business for nothing. When you are signed to a label you pretty much do what they want you to, because if they don't like what you are doing, they're not going to release it. That is why a lot of artists create their own labels after they get a name for themselves - it allows them to do exactly what they want to do.
Was he already signed to a label b4 border community?
Even if he was, he could've put out tracks under different alias'.
Also, a label has NO CONTROL over what a dj plays. Are you telling me the the tracklist for his 1st essential mix featured tunes he didn't want to play ?

I fail to see what bandwagon he has jumped on. Show me other people's prior sets who sound like his.I'd like to know of any CD's which resemble At The Controls as well.
I've heard a couple Fabric cd's which sound like him but other that that i dont know because i dont listen to them.
Other dj's who i think sound like him (based on live sets/radio mixes):Locodice, Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Tania Vulcano, Ricardo Villalobos, Clive Henry. There's got to be loads more though, i just haven't heard them (fortunately).

...and thank you for that highly useful contribution.
Maybe this is the first time you actually read what I had to say instead of just looking at my name and drawing your own assumptions?

hehe, well that makes alot of sense. This board doesn't allow voice communication to detect your sarcasm, so the only way we can make asumptions is by actually Reading your posts, not by your name which unfortunately is always nothing but elitist useless negativity.

He doesn't mean that. He means he makes countless posts which are simply helpful, but people persist with the notion that he makes nothing but cynical remarks, probably because he's insulted their favourite artist and they have a grudge.
the two times i met him, Holden was a ****... but he was honest and i respect that.
i feel he thinks too highly of himself but i have been able to enjoy a few of his sets in chicago so i must say if he wants to run his mouth off let him. but it's a bit inappropriate to open your mouth like that IMO, a good way to lose fans - just stick to what you do and keep your mouth shut.

Why is it then that the people who think my posts are "elitist useless negativity" are the same few people every single time? I mean look at you - you couldn't find anything to bash me for in my post but you still had to make that completely useless remark. What was the point in that?
Now. would you actually like to say something that's on topic for a change?

No.Nobody wants to stay "on-topic" in TA.
