In the last year I've knocked off a lot of my goals. One of my long term ones was to represent Canada in international atheletics and I did that back in January in martial arts. I didn't know if I would get it that soon, I thought it might come years later but it's amazing what can happen when you focus on your goals and make an effort to knock em off. This was a dream since I was 8 so it felt really good.

The next batch of goals from here on are to spend a year in Japan, then get my masters of pacific international affairs, then spend a year in Shanghai, then law school focusing on international corporate law.

Short term, I want a land rover LR3

Slightly Longer term, I want a house I'm proud of and happy with. I also want a decked out Range Rover with a FINELY tuned sound system (I'm not going to blare it and be one of 'those guys', I just want minimal distortion, trance sounds better that way ). (Although the longer I'm in Los Angeles the less I want this... yesterday at a stop light there were THREE Range Rovers lined up one behind the other in the lane next to me!) (I'm living right between Beverly Hills and Westwood this summer so I guess it's to be expected...)

I want to marry a woman with strong passion for me and living life to its fullest who will push me to new goals and aspirations and believes in me so much that it becomes infectious, I want to do the same for her.

I want to run a company helping start up entrepreneurs expand thier products/ ideas eventually into international markets.

I want my shoulders left in good enough shape after I'm done with martial arts that I can still play with my kids. I don't want kids until I can give them the world they deserve and be able to put them through any school they want/ can get into.

I want to live next door to my best friends and hang out on weekends.
I want to move back east to either the NYC area or Toronto to settle down, ideally both cities.

Once I'm retired I want to donate at least a month every year to working on habitat for humanity building projects and also taking nice vactions with friends and family.

Well I guess now that I've typed this out I should get back to realizing the next batch of goals.

Wow very nice nusty... I think I want some of the same things... well at least a partner that is crazy about me and supports me 100% in my goals and motivated me to be a better person... very nicely put!!

I have recently attained many of my goals... actually all in one week...

I completed my Certified Engineering Technologist certification in the mechanical discipline... this took me a few years to complete.

I completed my Personal Trainer Certification in the same week, which took me a year to get up off my butt and finally finish the exams.

I found myself a new job that I know I will thrive at as a Process Engineer with an automotive plastic manufacturer in Concord.

So I am very excited needless to say.

And I was thinking that my next goal might be an amateur fitness competition by my next birthday, which is about a year away... and if not, at least be in good enough shape to enter one.

^congrats on the recent successes! it's wonderful when long term things get done and add to a sense of acomplishment. I try to ride my momentum by jumping right onto the next challenge right away after finishing one thing because I'm excited about the next phase.
Good luck with the fitness aspirations. I found my trainning last year really helped my mood and attitude towards everything else in my life and I had a really good run for a few months of great things happening.
