And I couldn't do that..but I would just say..."fire hydrant" or maybe "tomato" to describe red, or just "fire", but that can be orange. See I can't do it....it's impossible for me But to sum up in a few sentences each what i've been saying on my reponses to your first post and DJ Intrique's...and this is it, done with the thread, i've made my point..I think....

Yes, they are high quality, but they are STILL MP3's. That's my whole point and exactly, they are much more frequent than wav's.

so it's not like i'm or some other people on here are DJing at clubs and need the highest quality possible and can obviously afford it (and or spending all of their money on tracks).

I don't dj at clubs either, and really that is irrelevant. It's more about the fact of the matter and also that people are now perfectly ok about settling and paying for something (mp3's) that they are lead to believe is the next big thing, yet are in fact a regression from what is already out there. Yes, I do spend a fair amount of money on records, and yes most of my money is at my own disposal, but I have other priorities as well that need my paycheck too so don't go playing that card again... and I make $6.60/hour. Like I said earlier, quality over quantity for me all the way despite potentially higher costs. That's obviously not your thinking.

(you really wouldn't be saving much with WAVs, might as well just stick with vinyl).

What wouldn't I be saving with wav's? They are the digital file equivalent of cd's and vinyls, so you know what you are getting is the real deal without any loss of audio like mp3's. That is of course if and when I decide to look into the digital route.

quote:
Hence why it's a waste of money I feel to get TTs and collect vinyl if you already have CDJs. There really all you need for home use, just like 320s. Your not playing for anyone besides your self....

If you are indeed satisfied with that, ok, but I can't agree with it.

Whatever, this debate is stupid. There's plenty of people on here which are perfectly fine with 320 kbps MP3s. There are only two EDM download sites that sell them....TrackItDown and Beatport. I don't feel like repeating myself, done with it. I never meant to get into a debate over this, just stating that it doesn't make sense IMO to get TTs if you already have CDJs, and a DJM 600.

I guess I'm more interested in the motivations of those people that do choose mp3's over other formats, specifically mp3's over wav's, since I'm coming from the opposite end of the debate and the idea paying for mp3's is something I can't fathom one bit. I'm just trying to get some insight from the flock of mp3 people as to why.

But yes, whatever. So we agree to disagree then?

I don't have any money anymore because vinyls cost so much, I could've bought many more songs from internet too.. But I still like vinyls over any downloaded songs or CDs or whatever, I just like the feel of it. I like to touch the vinyl while I'm playing and I like to change to vinyl all the time. I feel like I'm touching the stuff I hear from the speakers or my headphones <3

Oh, and DXM06 is great. I'd like to get a DJM600 if I could get it in good condition and really cheap, but I wouldn't have the money anyway

If I had an extra 1$ to spend per track i buy, I would only buy wav.

I havnt yet bought a wav from beatport...because I know as soon as I hear one, I'll be addicted and never want to buy 320 or less again. But for now, 320 sounds a helluvalot better than the shitty vinyl rips I listened to as a n00b.

You can pick up Serato and get the best of both worlds...

But I'm sure you know that already

Bit of an update, the dude finally told me it's a 500, not a 600. Either way I'm still getting it, and you might just see it on ebay in the near future so I can get money to pay my bills.

Bidding would start at 350 most likely
